Manassas National Battlefield
We met up with one of Papa’s good friends from long ago and her two kids at Manassas National Battlefield. We explored Henry Hill Visitor Center and Museum. Our friend’s son who is a year older than Sidney really hit it off with Sidney and they explored the park together. She also had a daughter who was a little older and she enjoyed playing with Richard and pushing around his stroller.
We started out by watching a diorama timeline of the battles.
After exploring the indoor museum we moved outside and explored the site of one of the battles at Henry Hill.

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts
After enjoying Manassas, we went out to a local Pizza place that is a favorite of our friends. We then stopped by Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts and enjoyed a hike around the Park.
The kids even put on a little improv show for us at the outdoor kids’ theater.
