Today we left the Skowhegan / Kennebec Valley KOA in Canaan, Maine to travel to our next stop at Lake Bomoseen in Bomoseen, Vermont. We ended up going a very different and couple hours longer route then we planned when we booked the campgrounds in early June. This was because for the last couple of weeks there has been major flooding issues in upper New England, mostly in Vermont and New Hampshire.
We had planned on following Highway 2 West and then go south on US-5/I-91 but there was several washouts on the route.
We pulled out of the KOA at about 8:30 in the morning and drove about 30 minutes to the Irving Oil to fuel up the truck. Our next stop was at West Gardiner Service Plaza in West Gardiner, ME. This is a great service plaza and where we stopped for dinner on our way to Canaan, Maine.
We then preceded and at about 11:30 am EST we stopped at Kennebunk Service Plaza in Kennebunk, Maine. In North Hampton, New Hampshire we turned Northwest and proceeded to another fuel and rest stop at Irving Oil in Bow, New Hampshire.
We made one more unplanned potty break at Quechee Gorge Village, Woodstock Road in Quechee, Vermont. Just over an hour later we pulled into our campground on Lake Bomoseen.
