December, 19th 2021 to January, 7th 2022
We really enjoyed Dosewallips but our time there definitely did not turn out as we expected. Dosewallips is one of two camping trips that several of Kyle’s extended family camps, so we tried to make sure we were there for the week they normally camp. The first week or so was about as we expected. Sidney guided Kyle as he pulled the poop tote to dump our waste from the camper. Explored the park and Kyle did a little maintenance on the the 5th wheel.
The end of the week things started to change. It started to snow and kept going. It snowed a lot! We really got to enjoy a couple weeks of a winter wonderland! Both Richard and Sidney enjoyed playing in the snow.
The best laid plans…
The snow closed Highway 101 and forced us to stay an extra week at Dosewallips and enjoy the snow. Our next stop was actually closed due to the snow.

Learning to read a Map
Sidney has started to use a map and compass. He has always enjoyed looking at maps and was really excited to learn more about maps with Kyle.
