Park City, KY (Mammoth NP) to Benton, IL

One of the interesting things about today is that we were going to a US Army Corp of Engineers (COE) campground in southern Illinois. What makes this interesting is that their checking-in time was 5pm. This meant that we had a easy and late start and pulled out of Diamond Caverns RV Resort & Golf at about 10:45 am.

We stopped at a Speedway (gas stations w/ Truck Diesel) to fill-up the truck at about 11 am. We then stopped at the Beaver Dam Service Center (type of rest stop) in Beaver Dam, KY at about noon.

We made another stop at the Love’s Travel Center in Culver City, KY. at about 1:45 pm. We then stopped at the Welcome Center (with a Playground) in Metropolis, IL to waste a little time before we can check into our campground.

We pulled into our site at South Sandusky Campground on Rend Lake in Benton, IL
