Skookumchuck Nature Reserve

Thurston County, Wa | March, 16th 2024

While staying at Chehalis Thousand Trails outside of Chehalis, Washington we meet up with Rachel and Logan to catch and play with their dogs at the Skookumchuck Nature Reserve outside of Tenino, Washington. For those who have just joined us lately. Rachel was our first Au Pair and a while she was living with us she met Logan who she ended up falling in love with and marrying. At the time of our visit they were expecting their first child.

Skookumchuck Nature Reserve is a public/private partnership that is managed by the local utility company and State Fish & Wildlife.

We started in a beautiful field playing with the dogs and getting caught up. Sidney really enjoyed playing with the dogs and enjoyed Logan showing him how he trains the dogs for hunting.

We then drove up to the gate for the dam and played at the River. Sidney tried his engineering skills by building stick bridges. He was having so much fun you would not know he was not having much success.

We look forward to meeting the new baby!

PS: As of the publishing of this post Logan and Rachel had their beautiful baby boy.
