Wyoming State Museum

We got to visit the Wyoming State Museum while we were staying at Curt Gowdy State Park. This museum was a great learning experience for the boys. The natural history section of the museum was very kid oriented with lots of hands-on activities for the boys.

After starting out at the info desk we started in the lobby then went to the natural history section. They had entire room dedicated to the kids and play, to top that off. Most of the natural history exhibits in the main area were also very interactive and the kids enjoyed it. They really enjoyed playing at the dino wall.

The next room housed figurines that were made for the storefront windows of wild west scenes. The next room was about pioneer life in Wyoming. Papa found a good example of his preferred style of furniture, but do not worry, mama vetoes that style.

The final rooms where dedicated to the building of the state capital building, Native American people in Wyoming and the birth of the US Parks Service, which also was in the state of Wyoming.
