Well I should have waited to post. The viral panel came back positive for adenovirus and …. covid. Somehow. We’re all in shock that he was positive, staff included. We all avoided it for 2 years only for Richard to get sick while inpatient. 
My at-home test today was negative, as well as Sidney’s. Kyle is with him now and going to take his test soon. Thankfully, Richard appears to be asymptomatic BUT then again, he was struggling with maintaining O2 last night, so maybe it’s related… anyway, we had to move rooms and units to the floor where the covid + patients are and they will treat his symptoms for both viruses. Unsure how long we’ll be there. But his Monday procedure is most likely canceled, unsure about Tuesday’s. Sigh.
