This morning there was more to for us to get ready as Saturday afternoon was filled with Thunderstorms and a lot of outside stuff was very wet, so papa left if for the morning.
We ended up being ready to leave at about 9:30 AM EST but could not hit the road until about 11 AM EST. We ended up pulling out at 11:25 am EST and drove West to Claremont, NH then headed south on SR-103. Just before Charleston, NH we crossed the Connecticut River into Vermont and then turned South on I-91.
At 12:54 PM EST we stopped at the Massachusetts DOT “parking area” (rest stop with out facilities) to use the rest room (in our camper).
Even thought we try to preview the route and use a couple trucker apps to check our routes for issues, we were surprised that there were a couple overpasses in Hartford, CT that where only 13-10 ft. of clearance. As we are 13-06 ft high we like a larger margin of safety… good news is we made it without clipping our roof.
At about 3:06 PM EST we got to Branch Brook Campground in Thomaston, CT.
