Today was a busy day. We started the day at our normal 5am when papa got up and went down for Breakfast. Overnight Richard fought sleep until about 3am when he fell asleep in the his bedside’s nurse arms. Papa was very impressed with his overnight bedside nurse, she was not only very competent but she spent lots of time just cuddling with Richard.
We got a visit from Dr. Ben (Richard’s primary Doc) at about 7am and we got cleared to move to the floor. We then moved room to another room in the ICU (we lost our 1:1 nurse status) because they thought it would actually be a couple days before we got a bed on the floor. About an 20 minutes after moving we got word that there was a bed on his old floor (10 south).
It is very nice to be back on 10 South. RN Dan was back, he has had Richard for a couple nights already (they rotate day/night shift with most of the nursing staff). To make things better RN Chole is back for tonight and she has had him more then anyone else for this visit.
He has been playing his normal brady (low pulse) and desats (low blood 02) that he normally plays after most procedures and is in full fighting sleep mode.
