Today was a pretty easy day. We have our discharge criteria: (1) room air during the day for 24 hours without requiring extra O2 support, 2) 1L O2 while sleeping for 24 hours without requiring extra O2 support, 3) get our feeding pump supplies, 4) prescriptions ready from the pharmacy) so we’re just taking it easy today! Richard was in a good mood and getting spunkier as the day progressed. We walked around the unit, read books, played on the floor, then cuddled on the window bench and looked outside.
Our feeding supplies arrived late by courier (#3 check!), Richard did great on room air (#1 check) so we’ll see how tonight goes and make sure everything is ready from the pharmacy! The providers are hopeful we will discharge Saturday.
